Rain Delay In Second IND Vs BAN Match: Rain in Kanpur has delayed the toss for the second Test match between India and Bangladesh. The start time for the game, or even the toss for that matter, remains to be announced.

The Indian Cricket Team is hosting the Bangla Tigers in the second of two Test matches of the ongoing series. The first match, being played in Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, saw the home team destroy their opposition with a 280-run win.

The second match will be played at Green Park in Kanpur. This will be the first Test match in this stadium in about three years, as India last played here in November 2021 against New Zealand.

The start time of the match was 9:30 am, with the toss scheduled to take place at 9 o’clock. But with rain falling over Kanpur, we will have to wait for any further announcement regarding the match or the toss.

As of writing, the covers have come off the pitch and the sun is out. The umpires will inspect the pitch at 9:30. This means that the match will likely not start before 10:00 am. However, depending upon the condition of the surface, there can be further delay.

In the first India vs Bangladesh match, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first. Which seemed like the correct decision in the beginning as India lost three early wickets. Despite Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant carrying the team forward, the Men in Clue looked in trouble at 144/6.

But then came India’s two premier all-rounders, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin. The two men batted through Day One, with the latter scoring a ton on his home ground at Chennai. The 100, combined with Jadeja’s 86, took the Indian Cricket Team to a solid score of 376 runs.

In response, Najmul Hossain Shanto’s team struggled They never recovered after a massive top-order collapse, with the team getting all out for 149. With a 227-run lead, Rohit Sahrma’s India lost early wickets once again, with Sharma and Virat Kohli failing for the second time in the match.

But this time, it was Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill who came to the rescue, both men scoring centuries and taking India to 287/4, at which the skipper declared, giving Bangladesh a 515 run target.

Despite a quick and attacking start to the fourth inning, the Bangladeshi batters could not keep the momentum going. As Ravi Ashwin added a six-wicket haul to his century earlier in the match, the visitors were dismissed for 234, losing the game by 280 runs.
