Rain of fours and sixes in Vijay Hazare Trophy… Dhruv Jurel’s unbeaten century, UP beats Baroda by 54 runs

After a century by Dhruv Jurel (160 not out) and a half-century by captain Rinku Singh (63), Uttar Pradesh defeated Baroda by 54 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite Group B match on Monday, based on the excellent performance of the bowlers. Today, after winning the toss, Baraida decided to bowl first. Coming to bat for Uttar Pradesh, the opening pair of Abhishek Goswami and Aryan Juyal made a good start and added 77 runs for the first wicket.
Raj Limbani broke this partnership by dismissing Aryan Juyal (26) in the 15th over. After this, Dhruv Jurel, who came to bat, tried to handle the innings along with Abhishek Goswami. Meanwhile, in the 17th over, Limbani made Abhishek his victim (51) in 51 balls. Priyam Garg (three) also became a victim of Limbani. After this, Rinku Singh, who came to bat, handled the innings along with Dhruv Jurel.
There was a partnership of 144 runs between the two batsmen for the fourth wicket. Rasikh Salam ended this partnership by dismissing Rinku Singh in the 39th over. Rinku Singh played an inning of 63 runs in 67 balls, hitting two fours and three sixes. Prashant Veer (35) and Sameer Rizvi (11) were out after scoring runs. Dhruv Jurel scored unbeaten 160 runs in 101 balls hitting 15 fours and eight sixes. After this, the entire Baroda team, which came to bat, could only score 315 runs in the stipulated 50 overs and lost the match by 54 runs.
Captain Krunal Pandya played the highest innings of 82 runs for Baroda. Shashwat Rawat (60), Vishnu Solanki (43), Atit Seth (46), Shivalik Sharma (30), Raj Limbani (12) and Priyanshu Moliya (12) were out after scoring runs. Four batsmen could not reach double figures. Zeeshan Ansari took three wickets for Uttar Pradesh. Sameer Rizvi and Vipraj Nigam got two wickets each. Kunal Tyagi, Rinku Singh and Prashant Veer dismissed one batsman each.
