Raipur: New path to health for remote tribal areas, CM Sai gave green signal to 57 mobile medical unit vehicles – keeping an eye on every movement of the media world.

Regular health services will be provided to more than 2100 villages and hamlets in 18 districts of the state.

Raipur News: Health services will now reach the doorsteps of people in remote and densely forested tribal areas. Under the Prime Minister’s Tribal Justice Campaign “PM Janman”, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai flagged off 57 mobile medical unit vehicles in Nava Raipur on Wednesday. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal along with cabinet members, public representatives and departmental officers and employees were present in the program.

Preparations have been completed to provide regular health services to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) through the operation of Mobile Medical Units. The government believes that in view of the difficulties faced by communities living in remote areas in reaching hospitals, this system will bring health facilities directly to their villages and hamlets.

With the deployment of mobile medical units, regular health services will be provided to more than 2100 villages and hamlets in 18 districts of the state. This will directly benefit more than two lakh Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) population.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that for the families living in hilly and inaccessible areas, treatment and testing facilities will now be available in the village itself. He described the initiative as “a solid foundation for holistic participation and health security” of tribal communities.

Chief Minister Sai said that this is a day of pride for Chhattisgarh. People who are backward in society from every economic, social and educational point of view are people of special backward tribes. Out of the population of 3 crore living in Chhattisgarh, 2 lakh 30 thousand people of special backward tribes live in 21 hundred settlements of 18 districts. This mobile medical unit will prove to be a boon for them. This work will be made easier through these 57 well-equipped mobile medical units. Doctors, nurses, lab technicians and local volunteers will be present in this unit. In this unit, 25 types of testing facilities and 106 types of medicines will be available free of cost.

Chief Minister Sai congratulated and congratulated all the officers and employees including Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, CGMSC Chairman Deepak Mhaske for this new scheme.

On this occasion, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev are making efforts for the upliftment of special backward castes. This mobile medical unit is for such remote forest areas where access to health facilities is less. Today, 57 mobile medical units are being dedicated for the entire state, which will fulfill the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Minister Jaiswal thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that he provided Chhattisgarh an opportunity to contribute in this noble cause by becoming a partner.

Health Secretary Amit Kataria said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched PM Janman Yojana on 15 November 2023 for the social and economic upliftment of special backward tribes. Its objective is to provide basic facilities directly to the habitations. He said that in case of emergency, it will be easy to transport the patient to nearby health centers through these units. Our objective is to ensure availability of not only machines but also skilled and sensitive employees. Doctors, nurses, lab technicians, pharmacists and local health volunteers have been deployed in each mobile medical unit. These units will organize health camps every 15 days, in which more than 25 types of tests and treatment of diseases will be conducted and essential medicines will be distributed. Serious patients will be sent to the nearest health institutions as per requirement.

It is noteworthy that in the past, due to lack of resources, health services were not available regularly in remote areas. Now with the availability of new vehicles and trained personnel, this system can be operated continuously. This initiative will help in timely identification and prevention of problems like TB, malaria, anemia and malnutrition.
