Raipur News: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today inaugurated the newly constructed Atal Complexes in 115 urban bodies of the state on the occasion of the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. While unveiling the statue of Atal ji installed at Phundahar Chowk of Atal Expressway in the capital Raipur and inaugurating the Atal Complex, he virtually joined the programs organized across the state and also inaugurated the Atal Complexes built in other 114 urban bodies.

On this occasion, Speaker of Chhattisgarh Assembly Dr. Raman Singh and Technical Education Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb were present in the program.

Chief Minister Sai inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 23 works sanctioned at a cost of Rs 186 crore 98 lakh under Raipur Municipal Corporation area in a program organized at Phundahar Sports Ground. These include Bhoomi Pujan of 17 works worth Rs 185 crore 49 lakh and inauguration of 6 works worth Rs 1 crore 49 lakh. On this occasion, he also released a coffee table book based on Atal Complexes published by the Urban Administration and Development Department. During the program, building construction permits were distributed to five beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 and checks of Rs 50,000 each were distributed to five women beneficiaries under PM Swanidhi Yojana.

In his address, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, while paying tribute to Atal ji on the occasion of his 101st birth anniversary, congratulated the citizens present on Good Governance Day. He said that three crore people of Chhattisgarh are paying gratitude to Atal ji today. He said that Atal ji was the Prime Minister of the country thrice, he was an Ajatashatru, a strong orator, a sensitive poet and an excellent litterateur. Opposition parties were also eager to listen to his speeches.

He said that through Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Atal ji laid a network of metalled roads from village to village and connected rural India with all-weather roads, which opened the doors of development in more than six lakh villages. Easy agricultural loans were made available to the farmers through Kisan Credit Card, the benefits of which are being availed by crores of farmers today. Atal ji gave a new direction to the tribal welfare schemes by forming the Ministry of Tribal Development.

Chief Minister Sai said that today Atal complexes have been inaugurated in 115 urban bodies of the state. Before this, complexes have been inaugurated at 60 places. In the birth centenary year of Atal ji, Atal Complexes are being constructed in all the urban bodies, so that the memories of Atal ji, the creator of Chhattisgarh state, remain everlasting. He said that after the formation of the state, the development of Chhattisgarh has got a new momentum. With the vision of Atal ji and the determination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chhattisgarh is moving at a fast pace towards becoming a developed state. He said that under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0, 1023 houses have been approved in Raipur.

MLA Kiran Singh Dev said that Atal ji kept his promise and gave the form of a separate state to Chhattisgarh. Today the double-engine government is working with commitment for the development of all sections. He said that the country experienced the concept of ‘Good Governance’ under the leadership of Atal ji.

MLA Motilal Sahu said that despite being full of natural resources, Atal ji recognized the need of this economically backward area and paved the way for development by giving a new state. He said that in the last two years, works worth about Rs 500 crore have been sanctioned in Raipur Rural Assembly constituency.

Mayor Meenal Choubey said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, all-round development of Raipur city is taking place and the development works are reaching the last line.
