Raised voice, paid the price too…. Surrounded by questions, MP Raghav Chadha hit back
digital desk- The ongoing tension between Raghav Chadha and Aam Aadmi Party has now started coming out in the open. Estranged Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha shared a video titled “Voice Raised Price Paid” on Instagram on Friday, which has created a stir in political circles. In this video, Chadha is seen raising his voice on various issues in the Parliament. This post has come at a time when his differences with the party are in constant discussion. Along with the video, Chadha wrote that he respects those who are questioning his parliamentary work, but now he will answer through his work only. His statement is being seen as a clear message to the party leadership.
Was removed from the post of deputy leader on April 2
In fact, on April 2, Aam Aadmi Party had removed Raghav Chadha from the post of Deputy Leader in Rajya Sabha. The party had accused him of not being vocal against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government in Parliament and indulging in “soft PR” politics. However, Chadha has vehemently rejected these allegations, calling them “lies”. Chadha said that he had not gone to Parliament to create ruckus, but to raise public issues. He also indicated that he was being deliberately prevented from speaking. After this entire incident, he has continuously increased his activity on social media and is putting his work in front.
After being removed from the post, distance started appearing between Raghav and the party.
The political controversy deepened further when the party replaced him with Ashok Kumar Mittal as the deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha. Since then, the distance between Chadha and the party leadership seems to be increasing. According to reports, his opportunities to speak in Parliament were also limited. Senior party leaders Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj have also publicly questioned Chadha’s stance. In particular, he was criticized for his alleged silence on issues related to the central government and his absence from the protests that followed the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal.
Being silenced, not defeated – Raghav Chadha
Hitting back at these allegations, Raghav Chadha said that he was “being silenced, not defeated.” He defended his parliamentary record, claiming that he had strongly raised issues of public concern at every opportunity. In another post, he also shared that he is reading The 48 Laws of Power, which is being considered a sign of strategic thinking in his current political times. Although, till now Raghav Chadha has not made any formal announcement of leaving the party or taking any new political step, but his recent statements and activities have definitely intensified the speculations. Political analysts believe that in the coming days it may become clear whether he remains in the party or chooses a new path.
