Due to continuous rains and the recent earthquake, the condition of these historical buildings has deteriorated significantly. Local people and experts say that these mansions can collapse any time.

Both these mansions located in Peshawar are about 100 years old. Due to rain and weather, huge cracks have appeared in the walls. It is being told that the recent earthquake has further weakened these buildings. Roofs in many parts have collapsed and the situation is getting worse with every rain.
Was declared national heritage in 2016
The Government of Pakistan had declared both these buildings as national heritage in the year 2016. After this, the government also sanctioned funds for their conservation and repair. However, even after many years, the repair work has not started, due to which the local people are very angry.
Special history of Kapoor Haveli
‘Kapoor Haveli’, the ancestral home of Prithviraj Kapoor, is located in the Kissa Khwani Bazaar area of Peshawar. This mansion was built between 1918 and 1922 by Dewan Basheshwarnath Kapoor. Raj Kapoor and his uncle Trilok Kapoor were born in this house.
Dilip Kumar’s house also turned into ruins
Dilip Kumar’s ancestral house is also now looking like ruins. This mansion is located in Mohalla Khudadad area of Peshawar. The roofs of many rooms have broken and the walls are continuously falling.
Fear of accident is troubling people
Local residents say that the buildings have become extremely weak due to continuous rains and earthquakes. People living nearby fear that if repairs are not made soon, a major accident may occur.
