Raj Kapoor Pakistan Haveli: Raj Kapoor’s ancestral mansion in Peshawar shaken by earthquake, a part collapsed
Raj Kapoor Pakistan Haveli:Kapoor Haveli, located in Peshawar, Pakistan, has been damaged by the recent earthquake and continuous rains. According to reports, a part of a wall of the mansion collapsed after strong tremors on Friday night. Due to this the condition of this historical building has worsened.
Officials expressed concern
The secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Heritage Council confirmed the damage, saying that a part of the mansion collapsed due to the earthquake. He warned that if repairs were not made soon, the entire structure could be in danger.
Demand for protection raised
Officials have appealed to the Archeology Department and the provincial government to take immediate steps to save this historical heritage. There was a demand for repair of this mansion for a long time, but till now no concrete action has been taken.

This mansion is associated with the family of veteran Bollywood actor Raj Kapoor. It was built by his grandfather Dewan Basheshwarnath Kapoor between 1918 and 1922. This is where Prithviraj Kapoor spent a major part of his life and Raj Kapoor was also born in this house.
Once upon a time, now in a state of disrepair
This 40-room mansion was once known for its beautiful architecture, windows and carvings. But due to lack of maintenance for years, it has now become dilapidated.
Haveli became deserted after partition
After the India-Pakistan partition of 1947, the Kapoor family came to India and this mansion became vacant. Later Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor also visited here in the 1990s.

Now the question is whether the Pakistan government will take timely steps to save this historical building or this heritage will gradually disappear. At present, there is no news of anyone being injured in this incident, but the future of the mansion seems uncertain.
