Raj Thackeray broke the agreement of 10 seats in exchange for his son, Eknath Shinde and BJP kept watching.
Monday was an important day from the point of view of Maharashtra politics. On one hand, Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi have managed to contain all their rebels, while at many places the rebels are still active. Apart from this, there seemed to be a big agreement between Raj Thackeray and Mahayuti, but that too broke at the last moment. In fact, Amit Thackeray, son of MNS chief Raj Thackeray, has contested the elections for the first time. He is contesting from Mahim seat and Eknath Shinde, who contested against him, was fully prepared to remove Shiv Sena's Sada Saravankar from the contest.
For this, a deal was also made between Raj Thackeray and Eknath Shinde and BJP. It was agreed that Eknath Shinde Sena would give walkover to Amit Thackeray on Mahim seat and in return MNS would withdraw candidates on 10 seats. Eknath Shinde himself was always active in convincing Saravankar for this deal. Sada Saravankar, MLA of 15 years, was initially not ready and wrote an emotional post saying that if Balasaheb Thackeray had been there, he would not have asked a true Shiv Sainik to sacrifice for the family.
It is being said that Eknath Shinde himself had persuaded him for this. It was promised that if the party won, he would be sent to the Legislative Council and he would also become a minister in the government. In this way, he agreed on the last day and went to Raj Thackeray's house 'Shivatirtha' to meet him after withdrawing his nomination. But Raj Thackeray refused to meet him even after a long wait. Now Sada Saravankar says that Raj Thackeray refused to meet me. So I am not happy. In this way, now there is a situation of triple fight in Mahim between Amit Thackeray, Sada Sarvankar and Mahesh Sawant of Uddhav Sena.
There was a fear of sending a wrong message by giving up 10 seats in exchange for the son.
Not only this, now MNS's scheme of withdrawing candidates from 10 seats has also fallen into disrepair. In this way, candidates of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena will remain on 10 seats of Mumbai region and Mahayuti is being considered to be the direct loss due to this. Actually, it is believed that Raj Thackeray got angry over the delay in withdrawing the candidate from Mahim seat. Apart from this, he also felt that the decision to give up 10 seats instead of one would send a wrong message. This message will be sent that Raj Thackeray has made a compromise to ensure his son's victory. In such a situation, he broke the agreement at the last moment.
