Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari held a meeting with officials in Ajmer, gave instructions to complete the pending work of budget announcements soon.
Ajmer: Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on Thursday took a strong stance on the slow pace of development works in Ajmer and the delay in budget announcements. In an important review meeting held with the officials at the District Collectorate Auditorium, he gave clear instructions that any kind of pendency is not acceptable at all and all the pending works should be completed as soon as possible on priority basis.
The main focus of the meeting was on the ongoing development works in the district, budget announcements made by the previous government and implementation of various government schemes. Diya Kumari said that officials should ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the people directly and there should be no negligence at any level.
90 percent announcements on ground, still concern over pendency
The Deputy Chief Minister expressed satisfaction that out of the 18 to 19 important budget announcements made in the last two years, about 90 percent have come to the ground. He said that the progress of development works has been much better during the tenure of the present government.
However, he also highlighted that around 19 announcements were still pending. Taking it seriously, Diya Kumari said, “Pending pendency is not acceptable at all and it is necessary to end it soon.” He cautioned the officials that these pending cases would now be monitored at the state level also so that they could be completed within the stipulated time frame.
Review of drinking water system and other schemes also
Apart from the budget announcements, the progress of programs like ‘One District-One Product’ and MoUs signed under Rising Rajasthan were also discussed in the meeting. The Deputy Chief Minister directed the officials to immediately speed up the projects which are getting delayed due to any reason.
In view of the upcoming summer season, drinking water provision was an important agenda. Diya Kumari directed the officials that effective preparations should be made from now onwards and a concrete action plan should be made so that water problem does not arise anywhere in the district. He stressed that the present government is keeping a constant eye on the implementation of the schemes through regular monitoring, which was not done at this level earlier.
Today in the District Collectorate, Ajmer, in the capacity of Minister in-charge, he took a detailed review of the effective implementation of budget announcements, various development works and public welfare projects in Ajmer district by holding a meeting with officials of various departments.
