Many times during the recruitment of government jobs some gangs infiltrate the system on the basis of fake certificates. Investigating such cases consumes a lot of time and manpower of the concerned departments. Investigations sometimes go on for months. Keeping this problem in mind, the higher education department of the state has issued this new order on the instructions of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). This will make it easier and faster for the recruitment agencies to check the documents of the candidates.

The QR code printed on the certificates will play a very important role in this new system. By scanning the QR code on any candidate’s degree or marksheet, complete information in the official database of the respective university will be available within seconds. Candidate’s name, course, marks, passed year, registration number etc. all the details will be displayed directly. So it will be clear immediately whether the certificate is genuine or fake.

This digital verification system will immediately detect not only fake degrees, but also manipulation of marks or dates. So far many cases have come to light to get jobs by manipulating the original certificate. But with the QR code system, this kind of fraud will be almost impossible.

As much as this system is useful for the recruiting organizations, it will also be a relief for the honest candidates. Candidates will be freed from repeated verification of documents, bureaucracy and delay. Digital verification will make the recruitment process faster, transparent and reliable.

This decision will be a milestone to stop fraud based on forged documents.
