Doctor made 'death report' of patient, patient found alive on funeral pyre, strange case of Jhunjhunu
Jaipur: According to a strange news received from Rajasthan, a 25-year-old youth, who was declared dead by the doctors in Jhunjhunu district here, has started breathing again just before the last rites. The administration has suspended three doctors who declared the youth dead.
In this regard, administrative officials said that 25-year-old youth Rohitash Kumar is deaf and mute and lived in a shelter home and was ill due to which he was taken to the district hospital. He was being treated in the intensive care unit of the hospital and was later referred to Jaipur but the young man died on the way.

In this regard, Jhunjhunu District Magistrate Ramavatar Meena, taking cognizance of the alleged medical negligence, suspended Dr. Yogesh Jakhar, Dr. Navneet Meel and PMO Dr. Sandeep Pachar on Thursday night. Meena said that a committee has been formed to investigate the matter and the Secretary of the Medical Department has also been informed about it.
According to the police, after becoming unconscious in the shelter home on Thursday, Kumar was admitted to the emergency ward of BDK Hospital in Jhunjhunu. He told that when his condition did not improve with the treatment, the doctors of the hospital declared him dead at 2 pm and kept the body in the mortuary for two hours.

After his death, the young man was kept in the deep freezer of the mortuary for two hours. At around five in the evening, when his last rites were being performed, suddenly there was movement in his body and he started breathing. After this he was first taken to BDK and later to SMS Hospital in Jaipur.
District Magistrate Ramavatar Meena said that the police prepared the Panchnama and took the body to the cremation ground. However, as soon as the body was placed on the pyre, Kumar suddenly started breathing. He told that an ambulance was immediately called and he was taken back to the hospital. Meanwhile, Revenue Officer Mahendra Mund, Deputy Director of Social Justice Department Pawan Poonia also reached the hospital immediately. (with agency input)
