Rajasthan Royals Announce Pink Promise Match for May 9

Rajasthan Royals have announced that their home IPL 2026 fixture against Gujarat Titans on May 9 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium will serve as the franchise’s Pink Promise Match, a dedicated occasion celebrating women-led social change through the power of cricket.

Now in its third year, the initiative is led by the Royal Rajasthan Foundation and is built around the philosophy “Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai,” meaning if the woman thrives, India thrives. The Royals will take the field in their iconic all-pink jerseys, with this season’s design selected from over 8,500 entries.

The winning jersey was created by 19-year-old Samiksha Rameshwar Mundada from Nashik, featuring a ripple pattern symbolising women-led transformation, solar-inspired elements, and the names of women supported by the Foundation.

A standout feature this year directly links on-field action to off-field impact. For every six hit during the match, six homes in Rajasthan will be electrified with solar power, building on the initiative’s track record of powering 260 homes in 2024 and over 520 homes in 2025.

Women from the Sambhar region, trained through Foundation programmes, are actively involved in all aspects of the solar infrastructure work, from installation to long-term maintenance.
