IPL 2026: Rajasthan Royals have secured their place in the playoffs by registering a spectacular win in their do-or-die match against Mumbai Indians. Rajasthan Royals has become the fourth team to reach the playoffs of IPL 2026. Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad had qualified for the playoffs. Now the question in the minds of the fans will be that who will Rajasthan Royals face in the playoffs, so let us know.

This is how teams play in the playoffs

The top-4 teams of the points table reach the IPL playoffs. Qualifier-1 is played between the first and second placed teams. The team that wins this match directly reaches the finals. Whereas the losing team gets another chance. After this, an eliminator match is played between the number-3 and number-4 teams. The team that wins this match plays the Qualifier-2 match with the team that loses in Qualifier-1. Whereas the losing team is out of the tournament.

Qualifier-1 will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans.

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans have made it to the playoffs by being at number-1 and number-2 in the points table. In such a situation, Qualifier-1 will be played between RCB and Gujarat Titans. Both the teams will face each other on May 26 at Dharamshala Stadium. The team that wins this match will directly reach the finals. Whereas the losing team will get a chance to play Qualifier-2.

Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad will clash in the eliminator

Sunrisers Hyderabad has made it to the playoffs by being at number-3 in the points table. Whereas Rajasthan Royals has qualified for the playoffs by being at number-4. In such a situation, an eliminator match will be played between Hyderabad and Rajasthan. The eliminator match between the two teams will be played on May 27 in New Chandigarh. The team that loses in this match will be out of the tournament. Whereas the winning team will play Qualifier-2.
