Jaipur: The atmosphere is heated regarding the student union elections in Rajasthan University. Accusing the university administration of disobeying the orders of the Rajasthan High Court, student leader Shubham Revad said that the judicial battle for the restoration of student union elections has been going on for a long time.
He said that the High Judiciary had given clear instructions to hold the meeting on January 19 and release the election calendar before March, but the university administration did not follow these orders. There is deep resentment among student organizations and students regarding this matter.
The question of the students is that when the orders of the High Court are being ignored, then how will the administration listen to the voice of the common students. He told that in this matter he has again approached the court, where a notice has also been issued against the Vice Chancellor.
Students consider this not just an election issue but a fight for democracy and student rights. He has warned that if the student union elections are not restored soon, the movement may take an even more extreme form.
