Addiction to online gaming becomes fatal, 20 year old youth commits suicide by hanging himself

Rajkot Suicide Case: A sad incident has come to light from Rajkot, Gujarat. Here, addiction to online gaming took the life of a young man. 20-year-old Krishna Pandit committed suicide by hanging himself in his house after suffering huge losses. Police have found a suicide note from the mobile of the deceased, in which he cited addiction to online gaming apps as the reason for his death. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot, took possession of the body, sent it for post-mortem and started investigating the case.

Krishna was studying in a college in Rajkot and was very smart in studies. In the suicide note, he wrote, online gambling ruins the youth mentally and financially. Through my suicide, I want to give a message to people that they should stay away from this addiction.

Addressing his friend Priyansh, the young man also wrote, My last wish is that online gambling should be stopped forever. He talked about losing all his money on an online gaming app named 'Stack' and losing hope of living.

The father of the deceased told that he was not aware of his son's addiction. He appealed to other parents to keep an eye on their children and remain alert to prevent such incidents. The family has demanded the government to take strict action against online gaming apps.

Police registered the case and started investigation

On this matter, ACP Radhika Bharai said that Gandhigram Police has registered a case of accidental death and started investigation. At present the family is in mourning and further inquiries are being conducted.
