Rajkumar Hirani speaks on the next part of two cult films Manthan 3 Idiots 2 and Munnabhai MBBS 3

New Delhi. Director Rajkumar Hirani, who has given memorable films like 3 Idiots and Munnabhai MBBS to Hindi cinema, has made a big revelation about his next projects. For a long time, fans were waiting for the sequel of 3 Idiots and the third part of Munnabhai MBBS. Now Hirani has made it clear that he is working on the next part of both these films.
Speaking to Variety India, Rajkumar Hirani said that he has many ideas at the moment and is considering both 3 Idiots and Munnabhai. He said that he has a big and interesting idea for Munnabhai but the right ending of the story has not been decided yet. They want that when the film is made, its script should be completely satisfactory.

Regarding the sequel of 3 Idiots, Hirani said that recently an idea suddenly came to his mind. He jokingly said that he himself does not know how this news came out because the idea is still in its initial stage. However, he definitely admitted that he is working on it and is serious about it.

According to Hirani, he has three to four scripts being prepared and he will soon have to decide which project to take forward first. That is, it is not clear yet whether the audience will see Rancho’s story progressing first or the third innings of Munna Bhai will begin.

3 Idiots was released in the year 2009 and this film proved to be a huge hit at the box office. The stellar performances of Aamir Khan, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor and Boman Irani gave it cult status. The film has an IMDb rating of 8.4 and even today it is counted among the most inspirational films of Hindi cinema.

The first part of Munnabhai MBBS came in 2003 and won the hearts of the audience. After this, Lage Raho Munnabhai was released in 2006 which popularized the word Gandhigiri. The pairing of Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi was greatly liked by the audience.

Now that Rajkumar Hirani has confirmed to work on the next part of both the films, it is no less than a big good news for the fans. However, it will be interesting to see which story is brought to the screen first and whether these new films will be able to repeat the success of their previous parts.
