Rajkummar Rao revealed the hardest times of his life

Reflecting on his return to the Newton sets right after his mother’s funeral, Rajkummar Rao revealed that he could not stop crying during filming. The Stree 2 actor continued by saying that Patralekhaa was the one who called with the devastating news, at that moment, he felt as though everything in his world was crumbling. Since Newton was a low-budget movie, he was concerned that his absence might cause problems for the shoot. He quickly let the production crew know and promised to be back in a day or two. After performing his mother’s final rites he returned to the set to finish filming, despite the filmmakers’ insistence that he need more time to grieve.

The actor has been in the news recently for all the right reasons. But he just revealed an extremely private incident in which he revealed how Patralekhaa broke the terrible news of his mother’s death to him. After doing his mother’s final rituals, he confessed that he couldn’t handle life. He said that he went back to the filming location of his 2017 movie Newton right away. He remembered being so emotional on set that he would not stop crying.

Rajkummar Rao talked candidly about a special set encounter in an interview. He was filming a sequence in which he sat in a booth and then went outside. He saw someone running at him as he got closer to the fence after finishing the shot. Even though his mother had been ill, he hadn’t thought that anything significant might occur because she was just 54 years old.

The person conveyed that Patralekhaa desired a conversation with him when he arrived. He saw the anguish written on the man’s face, indicating that something was seriously wrong, and it gave him the horrifying idea that his father might have died at that very moment.

He added, “I went back to the set and I thought that I would manage; I am strong, but I couldn't. Phat jati hai yaar. I was crying continuously, then my best friend, Anish, the sound designer, he was also on the set luckily, he took care of me a lot.”

Rajkummar Rao revealed that his failure to spend more time with his parents is the one regret he has. The actor also considered how his life may have turned out differently and better had his mother survived. She had always wanted to see her idol, Amitabh Bachchan, and he was sorry he couldn’t take her to Mumbai for that. He senses her presence with him in spite of this, which provides some solace amidst his recollections.

On the work front, Rajkummar Rao is basking the box office success of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, his most recent family comedy in which he co-stars with Triptii Dimri.
