Rajpal Yadav: Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav had surrendered in Tihar Jail on 5 February in the check bounce case. After this the actor had filed a bail petition, which has now been accepted by the court. The court had given time to the actor to deposit a demand draft of Rs 1.5 crore, which he completed and his interim bail has been approved.
What did the actor say to the court?
Actually, the first hearing in this case was held on 12th February. At that time the court had reprimanded and on the demand of the lawyer, the hearing was postponed to 16 February. At the same time, during the hearing on 16th, the court had given the actor time till 3 pm to submit a demand draft of Rs 1.5 crore and he completed it. Let us tell you, the actor has taken this bell to attend his niece’s wedding, which is to be held on 19th February.
When will the next hearing of the case take place?
Rajpal Yadav’s lawyer informed the HC that he has deposited a DD of Rs 1.5 crore. The court has ordered to surrender the passport. The next hearing of the case will be on March 18.
