Desk. Popular Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav is facing a legal case these days. An old case related to check bounce was heard in Delhi High Court, in which the court decided not to send the actor to jail for now. During this, Rajpal Yadav himself remained present in the court and while presenting his side in the case, he said that he had already paid a huge amount.

At the beginning of the hearing, Rajpal Yadav’s lawyer informed the court that he has submitted a petition for regular bail. The lawyer also said that the actor’s interim bail period was ending today. He gave information about the status of payment, stating that till now Rs 4.25 crore has been paid to ‘Murali Projects Private Limited’ and a demand draft of Rs 25 lakh is also being deposited today. Expressing satisfaction over this information, the court said that since the appropriate amount has been paid, he will not be sent to jail.

Rajpal Yadav’s side

Rajpal Yadav said emotionally in the court that when the decree was made in 2016, he was ordered to pay Rs 10.40 crore. He told that he is trying his best to make the payment and also presented the property papers of one of his friends worth Rs 28 crore in 2018. He argued that he had already paid Rs 2 crore, but due to the remaining Rs 8 crore, the other party demanded to send him to jail. Yadav argued, ‘I have served the jail sentence instead of Rs 8 crore, so it should go away.’ Referring to the expenditure of the film, he said that actually it was not Rs 5 crore but Rs 22 crore, due to which he suffered a loss of Rs 17 crore.

The court made it clear that if they returned the entire amount, the case would be closed, otherwise they would have to be prepared for further arguments. The next hearing of this case has been scheduled for March 30.
