Sharing his experiences behind the bars, Rajpal Yadav said that the most difficult phase for him was being away from his family. Speaking to Hindustan Times, he said that he had adopted a strict routine inside the jail. To maintain mental balance, he used to wake up early in the morning and do pranayama and meditation. According to Rajpal, maintaining patience in difficult times is the biggest victory. He described the experience of attending his niece’s wedding as emotional and said that it was a great relief for him to be among his loved ones after a difficult time.
Wife Radha supported in difficult times
In this difficult time, his wife Radha Yadav was seen standing firmly with him. Radha clarified that the matter is not completely resolved yet, but they are taking every step thoughtfully. He said that legal and respectable options are being considered and sometimes things depend not only on willpower but also on the right timing. Rajpal believes that settling this matter legally was the only right path, on which he has been working for the last several years.
What was the whole matter?
The roots of this legal crisis of Rajpal Yadav are hidden in the year 2010. He had taken a loan of Rs 5 crore for the production of his first directorial film ‘Aata Pata Lapata’. This film was released in the year 2012, but could not do well at the box office and flopped miserably. Due to this financial loss he could not repay the loan on time. Gradually interest and check bounce charges increased this amount to around Rs 9 crore, due to which he had to face legal proceedings and jail.
