Rajya Sabha Bye-Election: The Election Commission has issued a notification regarding this for the by-elections on 6 seats of Rajya Sabha. By-elections will be held on these seats on December 24 and the results will also be declared on the same day. By-elections are to be held for three seats in Andhra Pradesh and one seat each in West Bengal, Odisha and Haryana. These seats have become vacant due to the resignation of MPs.

According to the Election Commission, the notification related to Rajya Sabha bye-election will be issued on December 3. The last date for nomination of candidates has been fixed as December 10. After this, the nominations will be scrutinized on December 11. The candidate will have a chance to withdraw the nomination till December 13. Voting will take place on December 20 from 9 am to 4 pm. Counting of votes will take place from 5 pm on the same day. The Commission has to conduct elections on these seats before December 24.
