Rajya Sabha Polls Cross-Voting Fear: Voting is to be held on March 16 to fill the 37 vacant seats of Rajya Sabha elections. Due to which there are fears of cross-voting between BJP and Congress. In such a situation, both the parties have started sending their MLAs to other places.

According to reports, Haryana’s ruling party BJP is sending its 47 MLAs from Haryana, along with supporting independent MLAs, to some other place ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections. Two buses have been arranged for this work. On the other hand, Congress has sent its Haryana Congress MLAs to Shimla ‘Adventure Resort’ in Himachal Pradesh. A large number of police forces are deployed in the resort. Haryana Congress President Rao Narendra Singh is also present there.

Earlier, Odisha Congress had sent eight MLAs and their families to Wonderla Resort located in Bidadi area of ​​Bengaluru South district, so that they remain united. Congress is trying to ensure that opposition parties are not able to win over its MLAs. According to sources, these MLAs from Odisha are under the supervision of Congress’s Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar.

Let us tell you that the Election Commission of India has recently announced the elections of the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) to be held every two years to fill 37 seats in 10 states. Which includes 7 seats in Maharashtra, 6 seats in Tamil Nadu, 5 seats in West Bengal, 5 seats in Bihar, 4 seats in Odisha, 3 seats in Assam, 2 seats in Chhattisgarh, 2 seats in Haryana,
2 seats from Telangana and 1 seat from Himachal Pradesh are included. The election date has been fixed for March 16, 2026 and the counting of votes will also take place on the voting day itself.
