Ram Charan officially locks Peddi for a massive June 4 global release
Ram Charan’s highly anticipated film Skins has officially announced June 4, 2026as its new worldwide release date. On Friday, May 1, the “Global Star” took to social media to share an intense new poster, writing, “Meet #PEDDI on June 4th. See you in Cinemas”. This “badhiya” update comes after the film was delayed from its original April 30 slot to allow for final post-production work and to secure a strategic summer window following the conclusion of the IPL season. The announcement poster, featuring a “fire” visual of Ram Charan drenched in blood and sweat, has sent fans into a frenzy for his rugged rural avatar.
Currently, Skins is in its final stages of production, with the unit officially wrapping up principal photography on May 1, 2026. Cinematographer R. Rathnavelu confirmed the “memorable journey” has concluded, highlighting Ram Charan’s powerhouse performance. The film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is a high-budget sports action drama set in 1980s rural Andhra Pradesh, where a spirited villager unites his community through sports to defend their pride. Fans are particularly excited about the musical score by the legendary A. R. Rahmanwhose tracks like “Chikiri Chikiri” have already built significant “main character” momentum.
In terms of the cast and production, Skins marks the second Telugu outing for Janhvi Kapoor after Cattle. The film boasts a “sparkly” ensemble including Kannada superstar Shiva RajkumarJagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu. Produced on a massive ₹300 crore budget by Vriddhi Cinemas and presented by Mythri Movie Makers, the project has seen Ram Charan undergo a rigorous physical transformation to play “Peddi Pehelwan,” a wrestler.
