New Delhi. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has made a major announcement of ‘Sarkar 4’, the fourth installment of his popular political-crime film franchise ‘Sarkar’. He told that the shooting of this film is going to start from next month. During this announcement, Verma jokingly said, “This film of mine will wash away all my sins.” He gave this information during the inauguration of the Red Lorry Film Festival.
The ‘Sarkar’ franchise was started in the year 2005. In the first film, Amitabh Bachchan played the powerful character of Subhash Nagre, while Abhishek Bachchan played the role of his son ‘Shankar’. After this, ‘Sarkar Raj’ came in 2008, in which Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played an important role. The third film of the franchise, ‘Sarkar 3’, was released in 2017, in which apart from Amitabh and Abhishek, Yami Gautam, Manoj Bajpayee and Amit Sadh also played important roles.
