Height of saints increased in Ram Mandir Trust, got command of religious rituals and worship arrangements

Ayodhya Ram Temple: A major decision has been taken to make the worship and religious functions of Lord Ram more organized in the grand Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple of Ayodhya. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has formed a 9-member special saint committee to run the entire religious system of the temple. This committee has been entrusted with five major powers related to temple worship, religious events and training of priests. After this decision, now the role of saints instead of administrative officials has become the most important in the religious system of the temple.

Sant Samiti got five big and important rights

Under this new arrangement, many important works related to the temple have been entrusted to the Sant Committee. The first right is that the committee will conduct and monitor the daily worship and all religious rituals in the temple as per the Vedic Ramanandi tradition. The second right is to finalize the exact date of all the annual festivals like Ram Navami, Sita Navami, Vivah Panchami and Jhulan Utsav and prepare the outline for their celebration.

Big religious programs will be planned

As a third authority, the committee will plan major religious programs like special Vedic rituals, Mahayagyas, Ramarcha puja and Veda parayana. Under the fourth right, the committee has been given the responsibility of monitoring the training of temple priests, new appointments, their conduct, dress code and method of worship. For this, a permanent archaka training institute will also be established in Ayodhya. As a fifth authority, this committee will maintain regular communication with the monasteries, temples, saints and Gurukuls of Ayodhya.

Saints of Ayodhya will have majority in 9 member committee

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has decided to make a permanent arrangement of trained and disciplined priests for the temple. This powerful religious committee will be headed by Trust Treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri. The most special thing about this committee is that five prominent saints of Ayodhya have been included in it, due to which the local saint community will have majority in the committee.

Who is included in the committee

The committee includes Mahant Dinendra Das of Nirmohi Akhara, Mahant Kamalnayan Das of Maniram Das Cantonment, Mahant Dr. Ramanand Das of Ramkatha Kunj, Officer Rajkumar Das of Ramballaba Kunj and Mahant Mithileshnandini Sharan. Apart from these, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati and Jagadguru Swami Vishwaprasannatirtha will also serve as members in this committee.

What was there before in the worship system and what will change now?

Now a big change will be seen in the worship system of Ram temple. Earlier, the monitoring of the worship system of the temple was mainly done at the trust and administrative level, but now the religious committee will directly monitor the worship system and all religious works. Earlier the puja was done according to the classical rules but there was no separate committee to monitor it, whereas now a nine-member committee will ensure that the Ramanandi tradition is followed.

Saint committee will decide the date and organization of festivals

Similarly, earlier the dates of festivals were decided by the Trust, but now the dates and organization of festivals will be decided by the Sant Committee. Earlier, there was a general monitoring of the functioning of the priests, but now their dress code, worship rituals and conduct will be regularly reviewed. The biggest change is that earlier the role of the saints of Ayodhya was considered limited to giving advice only, but now the five saints of Ayodhya will lead the religious system with majority and their decision will be considered final.
