Ram Mandir Donation Theft: How Champat Rai’s close aides orchestrated temple offering network? SIT seeks answers

Ayodhya: The investigation into the alleged donation misappropriation at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has entered a crucial phase after a local court granted 39 hours of police custody to Ramshankar Yadav alias Tinnu Yadav and Manish Yadav.

Investigators are expected to begin custodial interrogation to reconstruct the alleged flow of temple donations and identify everyone who may have been involved.

Why Tinnu Yadav Is at the Center of the Probe

Tinnu Yadav, who is widely regarded as a close associate of former Ram Temple Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, has emerged as a central figure in the investigation. According to investigators, his position allegedly gave him access to processes linked to the handling of temple offerings. However, authorities have not accused Champat Rai of any wrongdoing, and no charges have been brought against him in connection with the case.

What the SIT Is Investigating

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is examining whether the alleged misappropriation was carried out by a larger network or involved only a handful of individuals.

Investigators are analyzing financial records, bank transactions, digital evidence and property documents to determine how the alleged funds were handled and whether they were used to acquire assets. The custodial interrogation is also expected to focus on identifying any additional suspects or beneficiaries.

Evidence Under Scrutiny

Officials are expected to confront the accused with documentary evidence, financial records and statements collected during the investigation. The police are also trying to establish the alleged chain of custody of temple donations and whether existing monitoring mechanisms were bypassed.

The case has attracted nationwide attention because of the religious significance of the Ram Temple. Investigating agencies have maintained that the probe is being conducted strictly on the basis of evidence and that further legal action will depend on the findings that emerge during the ongoing investigation. Authorities have not ruled out additional action if new evidence comes to light.
