Ram Temple Donation claim regarding 200 kg silver bricks

Chairman and Managing Director of Castle Group of Companies, Dr. Raju V. Manwani, while raising questions on Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said that on January 26, 2021, 200 silver bricks were handed over on behalf of the entire Sindhi community. The weight of each brick is said to be one kilogram.

According to Manwani, at that time no receipt was provided after the silver was handed over. He was told that first it would be examined and later it would be told how it would be used.

Information sought regarding the use of silver

Dr. Manwani said that after the recent news coming out, he has started worrying. He raised the question whether the donated silver was used for any other purpose.

He said that for this reason information related to receipt and use of silver has been sought. He says that if the donation given for the temple is not used for its intended purpose, it will be a very sad situation.

The price of silver has increased manifold

Manwani said that when this donation was made, its estimated value was around Rs 1.5 to 2 crore. At present the price of the same silver has increased to about Rs 6 to 7 crores.

He says that donors have every right to know how the contribution given by them (Ram Temple Donation) was used. Such cases can also affect the confidence of people who donate in the future.

Demand for action against the culprits

He said that if a Special Investigation Team has been formed to probe the case then the investigation should be impartial. Also, if irregularities are found at any level, strict action should be taken against those responsible.

Manwani also said that people have every right to ask for information about their donations and offerings and this right should be respected.

Even the three kg silver lamp was not found.

Meanwhile, another claim has also come to light (Ram Temple Donation). A Lucknow-based jeweler said he had no information about the current status of the silver lamp and other silver items weighing three kilograms donated to the temple.

Anurag Rastogi, North India head of India Bullion and Jewelers Association, also said that there is no clear information available to him regarding the current status of 39.26 kg of silver items donated by the association before the Bhoomi Pujan.
