Ram Temple Offering Controversy: Emergency meeting of the Trust today, a big decision may be taken on the resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra.

Ayodhya, 6 July. A very important and emergency meeting of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is going to be held today amid the controversy over the alleged theft of offerings and donations in the Ram temple of Ayodhya. This meeting will be held at 3:00 pm in the monastery of Trust President Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, ‘Maniram Chhawni’. This is the first formal meeting of the trust after allegations of financial irregularities in the charity surfaced. According to information received from Trust sources, the most sensitive and important issue of this meeting is the final decision on the resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Anil Mishra. It is being told that both the officers have already submitted their resignations. Trust Treasurer Govind Dev Giri has directed all regular and ex-officio members to compulsorily attend this meeting. Special invitee member Gopal Rao confirmed that the meeting notice and invitation have been sent to all the 14 members. The police administration is fully prepared in this high-profile case of theft and manipulation of Ram Temple offerings and till now eight accused have been arrested in this connection. The eyes of the entire country are currently focused on the administrative and legal developments taking place in Ayodhya.

The political temperature of the country has also risen on this matter. The opposition has directly targeted the trust and made a serious allegation that an amount of more than Rs 20,000 crore has gone missing. On the other hand, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) President Alok Kumar has completely rejected these allegations and said that the Trust had never received such a huge amount of money. However, he has written a letter to the investigating officer for a fair investigation into the case. In this letter, he has demanded to interrogate all those opposition leaders including Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh and Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav who have made allegations from public forums. The VHP chief says that if these influential leaders have any solid evidence to prove their claims, then they should cooperate in the ongoing investigation. The eyes of not only Ayodhya but Ram devotees and political circles of the entire country are fixed on the decisions of this meeting to be held this afternoon.
