Sehri Drink For Energy: Sehri time is very important in Ramadan because this is the time when you prepare yourself for fasting for the whole day. It is common to feel dehydrated and weak in the body during the heat and long fasting of the month of Ramadan. During Sehri, we often eat such things which are either very heavy or which make us feel hungry quickly. Sehri should contain a mixture of complex carbs and natural sugars that release energy slowly. Dates are an excellent source of iron and fiber which gives instant energy while banana is rich in potassium which maintains electrolyte balance in the body. When mixed with milk and nuts, it becomes a complete meal that keeps the stomach full for a long time and also controls thirst.

Smoothie Ingredients
- Ripe banana: 2
- Dates (seeded): 4-5
- Cold milk or curd: 1 glass
- Honey or jaggery (optional): 1 teaspoon
- Soaked almonds and walnuts: a handful
- Chia seeds (sabja): 1 teaspoon (soaked)
Method of preparation
- First of all, soak the dates in lukewarm water or milk for 10 minutes so that they become soft.
- Now add chopped banana, soaked dates, milk and nuts in the blender.
- Blend it until the mixture becomes completely smooth.
- If you want to make it more healthy then add soaked chia seeds on top. This will help in keeping you hydrated throughout the day.
- Use honey instead of sugar as dates themselves are quite sweet.
