Ranbir Kapoor Ramayan: The much talked about film ‘Ramayana’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi has been in the headlines even before its release. The makers are leaving no stone unturned in the promotion of this mega project which is being prepared with a budget of around Rs 4000 crore. Recently, the trailer of the film was shown to a select audience at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2026, which received an excellent response. Meanwhile, a video related to the event is going viral on social media, in which it is being claimed that the makers gifted conch shells made of gold to the guests of Indian origin. However, this claim has not been officially confirmed.

‘Ramayana’ trailer shown at SDCC

Although the trailer of the film has not been released for the general audience yet, a special screening of it was given to the select audience present at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. The audience present there gave a positive response to the trailer and appreciated the visuals and grandeur of the film.

‘Golden conch’ seen in viral video

In a video going viral on social media, a woman is seen showing the gift she received at the ‘Ramayana’ event. In the video, she opens a pink box decorated with lotus flowers, inside which a message from the ‘Ramayana’ team and a golden conch is seen. This conch has been finely carved and is said to be inspired by the theme of Ramayana. After the video went viral, discussion started on social media whether it is an official gift given by the makers of the film.

Viral claim not officially confirmed

Although many claims are being made on social media regarding this video, no official statement has been issued yet by the makers of the film in this regard. Therefore, it is not clear whether the gift shown in the video was actually given by the makers or not.

News of change in release date put to rest

During San Diego Comic-Con, the makers also made it clear that there has been no change in the release date of the film. The first part ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ will be released on Diwali 2026 as per the schedule.

Many big stars will be seen in Starcast

Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Ram in the film, while KGF star Yash will be seen in the role of Ravana. Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Mother Sita. Apart from this, Sunny Deol will be seen in the role of Lord Hanuman and Ravi Dubey will be seen in the role of Laxman. Kajal Aggarwal will be seen in the role of Mandodari and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen in the role of Shurpanakha. The film also stars Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan in important roles.

The first teaser was released on Hanuman Jayanti

The first introductory teaser of the film ‘Rama’ was released on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in April this year. In this teaser of about 2 minutes 38 seconds long, Ranbir Kapoor was shown as Lord Ram for the first time. The teaser received a good response from the audience and it also received a ‘U’ certificate from the CBFC.

‘Ramayana’ will be released in two parts

The producers have planned to release this film in two parts. ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ will hit the theaters on Diwali 2026, while ‘Ramayana: Part 2’ will release in Diwali 2027. Both films will also be released worldwide in IMAX format.
