Rameshwar Oraon ran away from the referendum after hearing that Lohardaga demanded a local candidate, Congressmen created a ruckus, Sukhdev Bhagat also opened a front

Lohardaga: Jharkhand government minister and Congress MLA Rameshwar Oraon had to face a lot of embarrassment when during the opinion poll, Congress workers started a ruckus over the local candidate. The situation became such that Rameshwar Oraon had to leave the meeting.

It is worth mentioning that after the instructions of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, Lohardaga District Congress Committee held a meeting on 24th September in the presence of observer Bhim Kumar appointed by the state Congress at Congress office Rajendra Bhawan to discuss the preparations for Jharkhand assembly elections 2024 and the applications received from Congress people. In the meeting chaired by the Congress District President, there was a lot of uproar in the opinion poll being done by the Congress party workers regarding the selection of candidates in the assembly elections.

Congress workers remained adamant on the issue of a local candidate in the assembly elections. Due to which Lohardaga MLA-cum-minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon walked out of the meeting in the middle. This time Congress workers did not seem to be in a mood to accept an outsider candidate under any circumstances. In the opinion poll, 95 percent of Congress workers and leaders demanded that a local candidate be made the party candidate in the Lohardaga assembly elections.

However, the Congress workers also said that the decision of the party high command will be acceptable to all. The high command will definitely respect our sentiments. In the opinion poll of the Congress party candidate, regarding the selection of the candidate in the upcoming assembly elections, Congress state observer Bhim Kumar and AICC observer Amarjeet Bhagat and former Jashpur MLA Vinay Bhagat interacted with the Congress workers one-to-one at Rajendra Bhawan and became aware of their sentiments. In the meeting, local MP Sukhdev Bhagat said that Lohardaga will not be allowed to become a pasture. The local tribals should get their rights. He will fight for this at the national level.

Sukhdev Bhagat said that he wants to congratulate Rahul Gandhi for the decision he has taken to select candidates for the upcoming elections after taking the opinion of the workers, which has generated enthusiasm among the workers of the entire state. Sukhdev Bhagat said that for him the workers are paramount. The MP said that the Congress organization does not run on money but on the sentiments of the workers. Why do people from outside Lohardaga apply for their candidature in Lohardaga, they should apply to contest elections in their own assembly constituency.

Sukhdev Bhagat said that he will convey the feelings of Congress workers to the top national level leaders so that they can get their rights. Lohardaga MLA-cum-minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon said that this did not happen in Congress meetings earlier. He respects Congress workers, the party's decision will be final. Congress District President Sukhair Bhagat, while addressing the party workers, said that the Congress workers have expressed their feelings in front of the party observer who has come from the state and national level. He said that everyone has the full right to express their views.

The District President said that no one is bigger than the organization. The decision of the organization will be accepted by all. Those who filed nominations to contest the election from Lohardaga Assembly in the meeting included Sukhair Bhagat (Congress District President), Dr. Rameshwar Oraon (current MLA), Vinod Singh Kherwar (Congress Peshrar Block President), Jagdeep Bhagat (Congress State Secretary), Prabhat Kumar Bhagat (Congress District General Secretary), Reena Kumari Bhagat (District Council President), Rama Khalkho (former Mayor of Ranchi), Abhinav Siddharth (National Secretary of Youth Congress), Vishal Dungdung (District President of Youth Congress) and Dilip Kumar Toppo (retired IAS officer) along with district and block level officials and hundreds of Congress workers.
