Ranbir Kapoor revealed during an event that when he was offered this role, his first answer was ‘no’. He felt that he was not fit for this character and would not be able to do justice to it. He was feeling very hesitant about this responsibility.

After some time Ranbir’s thinking changed. He told that this occasion was very special for him and came at an important period of his life. Gradually his fear ended and he accepted this role.

Daughter Raha became a special reason

Ranbir told that at that time he became a father for the first time. The birth of his daughter Raha Kapoor brought a big change in his life. He felt that playing the character of Lord Ram and becoming a father both brought a new turn in his life.

Special preparation for the character

For this role, Ranbir prepared not only physically but also emotionally and spiritually. He said that the story of Ramayana has been in his heart since childhood, hence playing this character is very special for him.

When will the film come out?

The film Ramayana is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari. In this, Sai Pallavi will be seen in the role of Sita and Yash will be seen in the role of Ravana. The first part of the film will be released on Diwali 2026, while the second part will be released on Diwali 2027.
