The film’s director Nitesh Tiwari, while talking to the media in New York, told why he chose Ranbir Kapoor for the role of Ram. According to him, Lord Ram’s personality is very calm, restrained and full of depth.

Nitish said that Ram was a man of few words, but his love was limitless. Their pain is reflected not in words but in feelings. Also, this character requires strong physical capabilities along with emotional depth. He clearly said that Ranbir is the most suitable actor for this complex and challenging role.

There will be no ‘modern twist’ in the film

Nitesh Tiwari also clarified that he has not made any modern changes in this film. He believes that the real strength of Ramayana lies in its values, which are relevant and universal in every era.

He said that today’s world is moving away from these values, and this film is an attempt to remind the audience of the same basic principles, which can give a better direction to the society.

In this mega budget film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Mother Sita. Ravi Dubey will be in the role of Laxman and Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman.

At the same time, Yash will be seen playing the powerful character of Ravana. Apart from this, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Arun Govil and Lara Dutta are also involved in important roles.

‘Ramayana’ will be released in two parts

Producer of the film Namit Malhotra has revealed that the total budget of both the parts is around Rs 4000 crore. With this, this film is going to become the most expensive film of Indian cinema till date.
