Ranbir Kapoor said – ‘Ramayana’ film became not only a big film of his career but also a life-changing experience for him.
New Delhi. For Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, ‘Ramayana’ has become not just a film but a life-changing experience. He said that while playing the character of Lord Ram, Ranbir himself started changing from within. Recently he revealed that this journey taught him the real meaning of relationships, sacrifice and patience. Referring to his daughter Raha Kapoor, he said that after becoming a father, he has become more responsible and sensitive than before. This emotional statement of Ranbir has further increased the excitement of the fans, who are now waiting to see his ‘Ram’ avatar in the film.

Ranbir Kapoor and director Nitesh Tiwari are looking very emotional about their upcoming film ‘Ramayana’. Both of them shared the emotional and creative journey behind the film in an interview given to Top Film Magazine. Ranbir openly said that this film has proved to be not just a big film of his career but also a life defining experience. Ranbir Kapoor told that initially he was scared when he got the offer to play the role of Lord Ram. He told that he used to think, ‘Will I be able to do justice to this character? Am I worth it?’ These questions used to bother him, but as he immersed himself in the character of Ram, his thinking and outlook towards life completely changed.
Ranbir further said, ‘This is the film that defines my life. This has changed my value system. Now I look at life, sacrifice, kindness, forgiveness and religion differently than before. In the conversation, he related this experience to his daughter Raha and said something very emotional. The ‘Ramayan’ actor further said that it is a very sweet coincidence in my life that Raha made me a better person and Ramayan inspired me to become better for Raha. Ranbir described Lord Ram as a ‘human human being’. He said that the biggest quality of Ram is not his strength, but restraint, compassion and humility.
Ranbir explained, ‘Ram responds not out of arrogance but out of compassion. In today’s world, where we are always on edge and want to react immediately, Ram’s response with humility, forgiveness and restraint seems beyond humanity.’ Director Nitesh Tiwari stressed that even though the film extensively uses visual effects (VFX) and modern technology, emotions are at the core of the story. In Heinz’s world, people tend to react instantly, but Ram always responds with humility, forgiveness and patience. This is what makes them extraordinary. The actor believes.
He said that ’emotions are most important in an epic like Ramayana. VFX is just a storytelling tool that helps us present this story in a new cinematic way. Nitish revealed that the team took almost 5 years to bring this epic to screen. Years of hard work have gone into perfecting the creators, costumes, production design and action scenes in the film.
