Rejected offer of Rs 700 crore
According to reports, the makers of ‘Ramayana’ had received an offer of around Rs 700 crore for the OTT rights of both its parts. However, the film’s producer Namit Malhotra immediately rejected the offer.
It is being told that the total budget of the film is around Rs 4000 crore, considering which the makers believe that the price of OTT rights should be much higher than this. This is the reason why the team does not want to take any decision in haste.
Expected deal worth Rs 1000 crore
According to sources, the makers hope that OTT platforms can increase their offers as the film gets closer to its release and more content comes out. It is being said that the team is expecting a deal worth around Rs 1000 crore.
There is also news that the makers are working on a different strategy. It is possible that after the release of the first part, considering its performance, the OTT rights of the second part may be sold. This can further increase the value of the film.

Stars like Yash, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey and Raghav Juyal will be seen along with Ranbir Kapoor in the film.
