Ranchi was colder than Shimla, the minimum temperature in Shimla was recorded at 8.7 degrees. The effect of cold is not showing any sign of diminishing in the capital Ranchi and surrounding areas. There is a continuous cold wave situation in McCluskieganj and Kanke. Here frozen layers of snow are visible in the fields and barns.
