Ranchi Police arrested 399 accused involved in other cases including organized crime in 2025, recovered narcotics worth Rs 14.84 crore.

Ranchi: The year 2025 has been full of achievements for Ranchi Police. The police has achieved great success in arresting 399 accused involved in organized crimes and other serious criminal incidents. Along with this, in the campaign against narcotics, the police has recovered narcotics worth a record Rs 14.84 crore. SSP Rakesh Ranjan said that Ranchi Police is committed to crime control and cracking down on criminals and this campaign will continue strictly in the coming year also.

Know in which type of crime 399 accused were arrested:

– Organized crime: 44

– Weapon recovery case: 86

– Vehicle theft: 158

– Snatching: 29

– Other theft cases: 82

Crackdown on drug dealers: 156 arrested, drugs worth Rs 14.84 crore seized

Cracking down on the drug trade, Ranchi Police has arrested 156 persons during the last year. These arrests were related to the illegal trade of brown sugar, ganja, opium, doda, banned syrup and banned capsules.
A total of narcotics worth Rs 14.84 crore have been recovered from these arrested drug dealers.

Major action on opium cultivation:

The police destroyed opium crops grown in 2582 acres and arrested 25 accused involved in this illegal act.

Attack on Naxalism: 17 Naxalites arrested, 117 weapons recovered

Ranchi Police has also achieved significant success in the anti-Naxal campaign. Police executed 43 cases related to Naxal case and succeeded in arresting 17 Naxalites. Police have recovered 117 weapons and more than 400 live bullets and other items from the arrested Naxalites and criminals.

Continued action on illegal mining:

Ranchi Police has also continued its action against illegal mining. In the year 2025, the police seized 72 vehicles involved in illegal sand smuggling. Nine vehicles involved in illegal coal and stone business were seized.
