Ranchi: The new zonal officer of Namkum zone took charge by breaking the lock of the office. New CO Rampravesh Kumar, who appeared to be in a hurry to assume the post, broke the lock of the office by hitting it with a brick and assumed the post.

Actually, Prabhat Bhushan Singh was transferred from Namkum zone to Margomunda zone of Deoghar. Rampravesh Kumar was appointed as the new Circle Officer. The then CO Prabhat Bhushan had given time till 2 o'clock to hand over the charge but when he did not arrive, newly appointed CO Rampravesh asked his colleagues to break the lock of the office and took charge. 91 police officers of the state were transferred, including one Rampravesh Kumar. After the matter came to light, Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha investigated the incident in Namkum area within 24 hours and submitted a report identifying the guilty officials and employees.
