Soon the actress is going to return to the big screen in the role of police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy. The third film of his Mardaani franchise will hit the theaters soon. Rani recently became very emotional remembering her father before the release of her film. He told that he regrets that his father will not be able to watch Mardaani 3.
Saw the movie Saathiya 26 times
Rani Mukherjee’s father Ram Mukherjee was a filmmaker. He died in the year 2017. Rani becomes emotional remembering her father during the release of her film. Rani misses her father a lot in every good and bad moment. He has described his father as his biggest champion. Also revealed that his father had watched his film Saathiya 26 times. He said, everything was beautiful with Papa. I remember my father in everything. He had seen Saathiya 26 times.
The queen has this regret
Regarding her father, Rani said, father was my biggest champion. Even today, I feel a little proud of every film, I wish I could show it to my father. Couldn’t see masculinity at all. Papa is remembered in every film. He always used to say – Cheer leader. Let us tell you that Mardaani was released in the year 2014, while Mardaani 2 was released in the year 2019. Now its third part is coming after 7 years.
National Award dedicated to father
Rani made her acting debut in 1996 with the Bengali film Biyar Phool. It was directed by his father Ram Mukherjee. Whereas his debut in Hindi cinema was with the film Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat. This picture was released in the year 1997. In a career spanning 30 years, Rani was honored with the National Award for Best Actress at the 71st National Film Awards for the film Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway in the year 2025. Rani Mukherjee had dedicated the National Award to her father.
