Ranji Final: Jammu came to bat in the final showdown, great start against Karnataka with Shubham’s unbeaten century.

Hubli. Jammu and Kashmir captain Paras Dogra won the toss and decided to bat first in the Ranji Trophy final against Karnataka here on Tuesday. Karnataka has not made any changes in its playing eleven. In Jammu and Kashmir, Sahil Lotra and Kamran Iqbal were included in the team in place of Shubham Khajuria and Vivarant Sharma.

Great start against Karnataka with Shubham’s unbeaten century

Shubham Pundir scored a brilliant unbeaten century to put Jammu and Kashmir in a strong position at 284 for two at the end of the first day of their first Ranji Trophy final against Karnataka on Tuesday. Shubham played an unbeaten inning of 117 runs in 221 balls, hitting 12 fours and two sixes.

Captain Paras Dogra won the toss and decided to bat first, after which Pundir provided a strong base to the team by making a partnership of 139 runs for the second wicket with Yawar Hasan (88). Before the end of the first day’s play, Shubham made another century partnership (unbroken 105 runs) with Abdul Samad (52 not out). Prasidh Krishna took both the wickets for Karnataka.
