Ranji Trophy 2024-25: Rishabh Pant refused to become captain, reason revealed
The second phase of Ranji Trophy is going to start from 23 January. Now many players of Team India are going to be seen playing in this tournament. Why did Pant refuse captaincy?
Rishabh Pant has not got a chance in Team India for the five-match T20 series with England. After which now Pant is going to play in Ranji Trophy. Pant last played Ranji match in 2018. Pant was also offered captaincy by DDCA.
According to media reports, Pant has refused to captain Delhi because he does not know much about the players of this team. Pant has very little knowledge about the abilities of the team players and the team's ecosystem. However, Pant will help team captain Ayush Badoni in every possible way. Delhi will face Saurashtra in the second phase of Ranji Trophy on January 23.
Pant will play for LSG in IPL

After which Pant was a part of the mega auction this time. During the mega auction, Pant received the most expensive bid in IPL history.
