Jammu and Kashmir registered a historic victory in the final of Ranji Trophy and won the title for the first time. Even though the match was a draw in the five-day match played against Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir was declared the winner on the basis of the lead in the first innings. Let us tell you, the biggest hero of this historic victory was fast bowler Aaqib Nabi. He broke the back of Karnataka by taking 5 wickets in the final match. Thanks to his lethal bowling, Karnataka’s first innings was reduced to just 293 runs. Nabi’s performance was excellent throughout the season and he took a total of 60 wickets. Due to this performance, he was also selected as ‘Player of the Tournament’.
