In the final played at the KSCA Stadium in Hubli, Jammu and Kashmir took the lead in the first innings against 8-time champion Karnataka and won the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 title.

On the fifth day of the Ranji Trophy final, Jammu and Kashmir declared their second innings at 342/4, with Kamran Iqbal (160) and Sahil Lotra (101) batting brilliantly and completing their respective centuries. After captain Paras Dogra declared the innings at around 2:10 pm, both the captains shook hands and the match ended in a draw.
Jammu and Kashmir created history
Since Jammu and Kashmir had a huge lead of 291 runs in the first innings, they were declared winners and thus created a new history by winning their first Ranji title in the history of 67 years.
In this match, Shubham Pundir played an inning of 121 runs for Jammu and Kashmir, while Yawar Hasan scored 88 runs. Sahil Lottra scored 72 runs and captain Paras Dogra and Kanhaiya Wadhawan scored 70 runs each. Abdul Samad also scored 61 runs. Prasidh Krishna got five wickets. Mayank Agarwal played an inning of 160 runs for Karnataka. Apart from him, no one could score even a half-century.

Aaqib Nabi Dar took 5 wickets. Aaqib Nabi created a stir with the ball in this season of Ranji Trophy. He was the bowler taking the most wickets this season. Nabi took a total of 60 wickets and was named Player of the Tournament. Nabi bowled brilliantly in the final match and took 5 wickets to put Karnataka on the back foot.
Kamran Iqbal has completed his century in the second innings. Jammu and Kashmir has captured the trophy for the first time in its 67 years of history. This team reached the Ranji finals for the first time and won the title for the first time itself.
