Ranveer Singh’s apology: Will file affidavit in Karnataka High Court

Ranveer Singh’s apology on social media

He said, ‘My aim was to appreciate the brilliant acting of Rishabh Shetty, who respects our culture and tradition.’ Along with this, he further wrote, ‘If any of my comments have hurt anyone’s sentiments, then I sincerely apologize.’ After this post, Karnataka High Court had directed that no punitive action would be taken against the actor.

Lawyer’s statement in court

Ranveer’s lawyer told the court that he will try to convince the actor to personally apologize by visiting Chamundi Temple in Mysore. Complainant’s lawyer on this Prashant Methal argued that Ranveer’s apology was a cosmetic move, as he had apologized through a post on Instagram and not verbally. Methal did not consider this as genuine remorse or a heartfelt apology.
