Ranveer Singh to rework apology in Kantara case

Actor Ranveer Singh has agreed to revise his apology in the case linked to his remarks and mimicry associated with Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1which was produced by Hombale Films.

The matter, heard in the Karnataka High Court, stems from a complaint that Ranveer’s actions, at IFFI 2025, referencing a God performance, hurt religious sentiments. The ritual, rooted in the Bhoota Kola tradition of coastal Karnataka, is considered sacred, and the complaint argued that its portrayal outside its cultural context was disrespectful.
