A demand is being raised to ban actor Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar 2 in Tamil Nadu. In fact, according to a Tamil publication, a petition has been filed in the Madras High Court before the elections, demanding a ban on the film. According to the petition, Dhurandhar 2 may violate the Model Code of Conduct implemented in the state. Advocate Sheela has demanded an early hearing on this petition, because elections are very near in Tamil Nadu. According to Daily Thanthi, he said that the content of Dhurandhar 2 is presenting a one-sided view. Which can influence the voters. The current model is against code of conduct. The report further states that Madras High Court Chief Justice Sushruta Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G Arul Murugan said that the hearing will be held after the entire petition is filed.

Box office earnings of ‘Dhurandhar 2’
The film earned ₹145 crore (net) in India from paid previews and opening day, making it ₹52 crore and becoming the first Indian film to cross the ₹100 crore mark in a single language in a single day.
On the second day, it earned ₹83 crore (net) in India and ₹46 crore in overseas. There was a jump in the weekend collections, 117 crores in India and 58 crores worldwide on Saturday, followed by 121 crores (net) in India and 56 crores worldwide on Sunday. This took the worldwide total to Rs 761 crore, which includes Rs 550 crore gross in India and Rs 211 crore from international markets.
The sequel to Aditya Dhar’s 2025 film, Dhurandhar: The Revenge was released on March 19 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The film also stars R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.
