Patna: After the formation of the new government in Bihar, rapid transfers are taking place. On Friday, 36 IAS officers were transferred together. Mayank Varwade, project director of Bihar Education Project Council and 2001 batch IAS officer, has been made secretary of the planning and development department. He has been given the additional charge of Investigation Commissioner in the General Administration Department, Patna.
After Bihar assembly elections, Nitish Kumar took big action, removed 4 district heads from their posts.
Kapil Ashok, Managing Director of Bihar State Road Development Corporation, will remain in the additional charge of Managing Director of Bihar State Fruit and Vegetable Development Corporation but will be relieved of the additional charge of Special Secretary of Road Construction Department. IAS Dharmendra Kumar of 2013 batch, who was waiting for posting in the General Administration Department, has been made the Director of Social Security.

2013 batch IAS Upendra Prasad, Additional Secretary, General Administration Department, has been transferred and made Additional Secretary, Labor Resources and Migrant Workers Welfare Department. Naveen Kumar Singh, Additional Secretary, Social Welfare Department, has been transferred and made the Director of Panchayati Raj till further orders.
