Rare ‘Forston Cat Snake’ seen in Dudhwa, amazing picture captured in guide Raju’s camera
Palia Kalan-Kheeri. The world famous Dudhwa Tiger Reserve is known for its biodiversity, but on Saturday evening a rare sight was seen here which has excited the wildlife lovers. The very rarely seen ‘Forsten’s Cat Snake’ has been seen in the forests of Dudhwa.
During the safari on Saturday evening, guide Raju saw this rare snake with his own eyes and without any delay captured its wonderful pictures in his camera. Forston Cat Snake is a snake that lives in dense forests and likes to stay away from human activity, due to which its sightings are very rare.
According to wildlife experts, the eyes of this snake are big and shiny like those of a cat, due to which it is called ‘Cat Snake’. It is a snake that mainly lives on trees and is more active at night. The presence of this snake in Dudhwa is a proof of the healthy ecosystem here.
This photo taken by guide Raju has become a topic of discussion among wildlife lovers on social media. The park administration has also expressed happiness over the sighting of this rare species.
