Ras Tanura Helicopter Crash: Aramco helicopter fell in Saudi Arabia, 14 people died, groom killed 50 days before the wedding

A tragic accident has occurred in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia where a helicopter of Saudi Aramco crashed. All 14 people on board have died in this accident. Among the dead was Moath Al-Zahrani, a young employee who had just 50 days left for his wedding and had already sent invitation letters to relatives.

This accident happened on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at around 6:00 am. According to the information, this helicopter was Leonardo AW139, which was being operated by Aloula Aviation. Aloula Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi Aramco. This helicopter was going towards Ras Tanura Airport when this accident happened.

Official information and investigation

Confirming the incident, the Ministry of Energy said that all 14 people who lost their lives in the accident were Saudi citizens. The Ministry has expressed deep sorrow over this incident and expressed its condolences to the families of the victims.

At present the real reason for the fall of the helicopter has not been known. A team of concerned government officials and investigating agencies are investigating the matter to find out how and why the accident occurred.
