Man United vs. Bournemouth: Will Marcus Rashford return for the Red Devils against the Cherries?
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim says that Marcus Rashford is in contention for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth.
Manchester United head coach Reuben Amorim has said that Marcus Rashford is in contention for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth despite being left out of the club’s last two matchday squads.
There have been significant developments regarding Rashford’s future over the last week, with Amorim deciding to leave the Englishman out of the squad for last weekend’s Manchester derby due to poor performances in training.
Rashford then gave an interview to journalist Henry Winter on Tuesday where he revealed that he was open to leaving Man Unitedand the club’s academy product was again missing for Thursday’s EFL Cup quarter-final with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Red Devils will return to league action against Bournemouth on Sunday, where they will be bidding to bounce back from a 4-3 reverse to Tottenham in the last eight of the League Cup.
Rashford is due to train with Man United on Friday morning, and Amorim has said that the attacker could earn a recall to the squad for the contest with the Cherries at Old Trafford.

Amorim: “Everyone has a future at Man United”
“Tomorrow we have training, he will be there preparing for next game. He is a United player, everyone has a future at Man United,” Amorim told reporters when questioned after the defeat to Tottenham.
The Man United head coach also insisted that he does not regret his decision to leave Rashford out for a second game in a row, with the Portuguese having the best interests of the team in the front of his mind.
“No, it is not (a mistake). I feel that I do the right thing for the team so it’s never a mistake,” said the manager.
“We have to make a selection, sometimes you lack in the game and you see some guys go into the game and change it a bit but I don’t think it was a mistake because I’m always doing the best for the team in my way of seeing things.”
Rashford has scored seven goals and registered three assists in 24 appearances for Man United this season, but he has once again underwhelmed with his general performance level.

Will Rashford leave Man United in January?
Atletico Madrid are believed to be lining up a loan offer for Rashfordwith the 27-year-old said to be open to making the move to Spain, even on a short-term basis.
Paris Saint-Germain continue to be regarded as the favourites, but there is also believed to be significant interest from Saudi Arabiawith the country’s biggest clubs thought to be exploring a deal.
Rashford’s substantial wages, which are in the region of £325,000 a week, make an exit incredibly complicatedso it is very difficult to imagine a permanent departure being agreed in January.
However, if it becomes clear that Rashford will no longer be considered for selection, and being left out again against Bournemouth would suggest that is the case, then a loan exit in the winter may suit all parties.
